Senior Sports Medicine
Our experience show not all athletes are in their teens and twenties. Individuals are moving to this region to enjoy recreational pursuits they did not have time to enjoy when they were working full time. Our facility will address their unique needs and return them to the activities and lifestyle they enjoy.
Sports Medicine
Some athletes are in their teens and twenties, including those participating in organized sports from pee wee league up through college and recreational leagues, as well as weekend warriors. Certified Athletic Trainers and Physical Therapists on our staff work together to provide the sport specific, focused rehabilitation services all athletes require.
Industrial Rehabilitation
Employers and employees in the Berlin, Ocean Pines, Ocean City, West Ocean City, and Southeastern Sussex County, Delaware will now have access to a local provider who is certified to provide Functional Capacity Evaluations, Work Hardening, Work Conditioning and Ergonomic reviews of industrial and office settings.
Occupational Therapy
Our skilled Occupational Therapist has training in multiple areas, some of which include hands, orthopedics(hips & knees), and geriatrics. She can work with individuals to retrain them in the areas of ADL’s, work simplification, energy conservation, as well as many other techniques appropriate to our clients needs.
Holistic Alternatives
We will provide the local community with alternative medical options as an adjunct to our traditional physical therapy services. These alternatives may include massage therapy, acupuncture, and other services as indicated.
Manual Therapy
Through the use of special manual techniques our Physical Therapists can often help alleviate problems that may have resisted more traditional Physical Therapy approaches.
PRRT (Primal Reflex Release Technique)
This technique was developed to manage pain due to injury, stress, and other traumas, and the pain from fibromyalgia. Developed by John Iams, PT from San Diego CA. PRRT is based on the idea that reflexes can become dysfunctional causing a persistent state of pain. Ask your physical therapist about PRRT and whether it could be indicated for your pain. Educational and Lecture Services
Aches and Pains? Body Mechanics. Pre/Post/Off Season Conditioning. Back, Neck, Knee, Hip or Ankle problems? Balance problems? We will come to your organization at a time that is convenient for you and speak to your group on any of the above topics, or any other topic of interest to you and your group. As part of our lectures we will provide you with educational materials to help reinforce the material covered in our discussion.
